Play With A Smile

Every morning I wake up and see
Sunrise through my window
Every day is just the same for me
Hiding tears when I’m in sorrow

Just pretending I’m fine
Playing joy with a smile
I’m not made of steel
But of thrill and feel
Hiding truth behind a smile
Pretending it’s alright

Waking up at night with a silent cry
Another nightmare touched my heart with fear
I close my eyes to see you in moonlight
Embrace so warm I feel, in comfort I’m dwelling

Just pretending I’m fine
Playing joy with a smile
I’m not made of steel
But of thrill and feel
Hiding truth behind a smile
Pretending it’s alright

Silent dream to touch
Grace of butterfly to catch
Blessing kiss of angel to recieve
My everything I would give
For this one sweet night

Pretending to be strong I feel so weak
Smiling bright I hide bitter cry
Forgetting all old lies I betray the feel
I thought it was pure, but it was poisoned by lust

Just pretending I’m fine
Playing joy with a smile
I’m not made of steel
But of thrill and feel
Hiding truth behind a smile
Pretending it’s alright
