Ghost Of Lost Era

Above the waves she walked alone
Behind her back shades dwell forlorn
Across the graves she walked and smiled
That smile gave ghosts another life

She sang and prayed for those who passed
Her song made sinners’ souls as clear as glass
Angels cried and washed her hair with their tears
But nothing helped her forget her fears

She is not a saint
Even sinners envied her dark past
Even devil faints
When he saw her shadow through the glass
She is darker than winter night
Her eyes are the eclipse reflection
Her grace took pale glance of moonlight
In the lips of her lies black black ocean

The voice is calling from the darkest shadow
The virgin with a child walked along
Through the past and the last tomorrow
She will flow but never alone

She is but a ghost from the ancient era
The voice, silent whisper of fallen star
Passion of the forgotten opera
Sweet laughter from afar
She is but a light shining through the window
Fallen angel’s grace
She is but your pale shadow
Smile on your dear face
