It’s Not The Time

The dawn is almost here,
Don’t go, my love, it’s not the time.
Not yet, not now, stay near
In twilight gloom lie by my side.
Don’t go, it’s not the time
While moon’s eyes are open still
And stars, those tiny guides, twinkling high
Don’t go, love, it’s not the time.

For lost sunshine in dark embrace of midnight strife
Nothing is real in daylight dream.
No moon, no stars, no silent wind…
Bound of day cruel and long poisons my life
With its endless hours and dreamless shade.
Heart opens when sun slowly dies behind night’s gate…

The dawn is almost here,
Don’t go, my love, it’s not the time.
Not yet, not now, stay near
In twilight gloom lie by my side.
Don’t go, it’s not the time
While moon’s eyes are open still
And stars, those tiny guides, twinkling high
Don’t go, love, it’s not the time.

Within last rays of dying day’s end
I only see one moment of eternal sunset.
One fleeting tear, one fading fear
In midnight coming it’ll disappear…
Oh, Lord, let me feel my dear’s love once more
Before the life withers at dawn’s door…
