Barefoot Boy

In early morn dream before the sunrise call
Misheard melody from the past
Beauty of morning dew in rays of dawn
Silent walk in a field, bare feet touch cold grass

I walk with a child
Soul so pure, heart so kind
Night took his tears, left them behind

Barefoot boy, song of a nightingale still locked in a cage
Melody of forest, whisper of lake
Still innocent and young, no fear, no tears fell on the stage
Hand in hand another step we take
Walking away from envy and hate, hypocrisy and rage

Ocean soul, pure child
Heart of a kind
World’s pride
Innocent dream, desire of night

In his eyes time flows
Waters of wistful sea, river so fast
Floating with waves I saw my past
Memories lost, pale hopes

Barefoot boy led me to the white field
Took my hand and looked deep in my eyes
Walking with me through this dream

Barefoot boy led me through his childhood dreams
To show me the real dream of me
As we walked through his memories
I could see the truth, could feel another heartbeat
Barefoot boy with eyes of sea
