The Lake, The Old, The Setting Sun

In the end of pale dying day
Bathing in rays of setting sun
Feel sweet scent of withering veil
Of memory beneath pale moonpath

Remember how it used to be
The lake, the old oak, you and me
Watching fading cold fears beyond the bloodred horizon

Times change, hopes break in pieces
Dreams slowly fading in the dark
Heart longs for deepest memories

What do we need to be healed through the time?
What have they done to our hearts?
Where is your faith gone?
Where is the wonder, where is the hope?
Don’t be so silent

What have they done to you?
Breaking a secret will, burning deep wishes to dust
Dancing on a grey cold grave of memories buried alive

What have they done to you, my love?
Pretending they believe, pretending they care
Holding you with poisoned hangman’s noose

What do we need to be together once?
Bearing this cross through all sleepless nights
Hoping for so long
Where is your faith gone?
I don’t let them break you one more time
Saving your heart entwined with mine
They got enough, they got it all
Now they’re in Hell, their sweet home

Don’t fall, my dear angel
Rise and spread your wings
You’re much stronger
Than they could ever see

Remember how it used to be
The lake, the old oak, you and me
Watching fading cold fears beyond the bloodred horizon
Walking hand in hand to the end of time
To world’s end beyond the rays of setting sun
