Wonder And Awe

Mysterious land lying among heat of deserts
And frost of snow in the northern side
Deep within of lost world

Dark waters flowing in river frozen
Smiling shadows around a homesick soul
With beautiful white wings broken
Innocent dream turned to dust burnt

As cold days are passing by
Paths losing in snow white
Bloodred petals of young rose
Leading to the door forever closed
Lost deep within, hidden from the world
Alone and cold
Resting in sweet thrill of awe
Saved under dark cold core

A child waking up every night
With tears of fear in her eyes
A thought turned to a dream wide-winged
Resting still deep within

First song of nightingale
Will awaken me one spring morn
Calling back to the dale
To the fields of wonder and awe

Forgotten land of the far forgotten past
Wonder and awe, stardust and lifelust
Forlorn paths, lovelorn living in me till the day very last
