Escapist’s Life

Under a wing of an angel I lie
Listening to the doorbell ringing outside
I don’t want to let anyone in
To tear this emptiness within
None will enter unless they have a key
To a broken heart resting in frozen beauty

The door is open
While heart’s lying broken
While moment is frozen
Only one can enter
This faded world of insanity

Should I lose my cry
Cold tears to shed
In white snow to lie
Just to fly one day so far away
Should I pretend
To make everyone smile
Bearing inside this hellborn pain

The door is open
Still awaiting for you to come in
To heal a heart dying in lovelorn

Will you dry fallen tears
Will you bury all childish fears
Are you coming inside
To join this escapist’s life
To cure the wounds and heal my old scars
So will you enter my world under your stars?
