A Soul Of Nightingale

Silently in the middle of the night
Running steps along the wall
To turn back, to unlock the door

Never knew the taste of freedom
Never touched the wing of wisdom
No morning dew flowing through my fingers
No kiss of dawn, no flight across the fields

A soul suffering in this bound
No hope, no chance to hear a sound
Following the path the gods once wrote

Never knew the dream above the sky
Never felt the wind blowing in my face
Never caught the touch of dawn through the fading night

A child of light, free soul of a nightingale
One wish to fly far across the sea
To join the freedom of snow and northern lights
To live once written lines of a forgotten tale

A journey, one last ride
Across the dawn to the tide
Lost in time, forever wild
A child of love, I’m an escapist, a longing dreamer
Lonely wandered, lost paradise seeker
Hoping to hope, to dream, to love

It’s time to take a step and fly to the stars
Away from time, away from light, away from all lies

Wind in the wings
Away from all child’s fears
Morning dew through the fingers
Dawning hope among the thrills
Purest wish of all the dreamers
