Shadow Of Temptation

She is but a shadow
Dark temptation of her own
She is but a mirror
Silent whisper of his soul
A voice calling him
Through one midsummer dream
She is but his darkest side

Dreamer’s heart, Never-Never-Land
Angel’s remorse, poet’s deep curse
Memories walking alive, wide awake

She is but his eyes looking through the night
She is but his innocent heart so kind
A swan pale white she came to him
Wrote a verse on his door
Painted the porch with bright snow
Awakening of his memory, dearest relief

Silent whisper, child’s weep
Forgotten awe, sweet taste of wonder
Voice of dark ancient symphony
Dearest dreams risen from an ocean deep

His deepest wish, a burning desire
Dream’s drunken kiss taking him higher
One last breath of their dearest faith
