Moonlit Sorrow

Southern morn, calling dawn
Above dark bare trees pale and cold
Dreamless agony unfolds before my eyes
Slowly coiling around my beating heart

I’m falling within dream’s howling
Seeking the way back home still hoping
To run away from the world that’s drowning

Come to me, hold me tight
Embrace my soul, let’s fade into the night
Just hold me near, touch so dear
Moonlit path will write this dream real

Fading tears, shadow of fear
Child’s nightmare will disappear
While you are real holding me dear

Slow, love, taste the night
Forget that filthy sight
I’m your soul, I’m your heart
Don’t let me break this life
