I’m Gone

Nothing left within, but a silent scream
Snow falling like in a dream
Cleaning all I have become

Nothing left within, but a silent call
Silence remained with empty cold
In the end we’re equal after all

What will remain inside when I’m gone
Emptiness and unspoken cold
Darkness is my last resort to call
Cry of the last fall
You’ll call, but silence won’t be gone
Empty cold, silent dawn
You’ll feel when I’m gone

Open window into midwinter night
Final sip of frozen air, it’s time to go
My last breath before eternal flight
Through the night to withering dawn
Where you left alone

Emptiness in heart, cold howling inside
Snow in soul, ice dwelling in eyes
Frozen steps left behind

You will see me again
Through the memory’s embrace
Dark bare grace
And sharpest pain
