Colour Of A Lullaby

I close my eyes, sundown dies

No fears to follow me now
Silent night to paint the sky
I close my eyes and see it all
The field, the lake, the meadow
Where I used to play when I was a child
Playground near the cradle of a dream
Hope’s embrace, nightingale’s song flowing
Within every childish memory
I caress dear so deep
Closing my eyes I fall asleep
Sweet scent of dawn and dew
Touch of awakening
Pale morn falls, all the lanterns die
In the blue of early morning call
Childhood games
Purity of innocence
Hearts give all asking nothing back
Dreamy awe of long gone days
Awakening writes still
The memories deep hidden
Child’s song unseen
Lullaby still has the colour of the kite
Until the first star falls tonight
Treasures awaiting to be found
I see the world with my open heart
