Ride Back Home

The end of this ride
Night silently writes our road
Back home

Piano weeps in the dark
Song of light, verse for a poet of a wistful sea
Lost hope dwells in silence still
Pipes show us the way to the end of the day
To take this last ride away

Hide your pride
Cascade down with the night
Tales written with red shine with white
There left no more light for them to share
Only lost sparks to keep and care

Long lonely road
Calling, howling
Dark beaten path
Leading us home

Innocence
Lovelorn dreams of hope
I wish I could feel a kiss of first love forevermore

Purity looses its lost beauty
Hidden within every verse
Of midnight lullaby and moonlit glow

Deep in the end of dying day
Spark of light leading astray
Take us back home
Following lost treasures within
Chasing the dream to find a way
Lonely road to take this ride
A ride back home

A lonely memory
A midnight fantasy
Lead me home
