Voice In My Mind

I close my eyes and see your face
Like in a mirror of calling dreams
I hear your voice inside my head
On every faded photograph I keep within

I see a shadow crawling in daylight
Withering like a flower lying on cold ice
I took it gently to comfort its wounded heart

Singing a lullaby to sleep a child
Bringing a sparkle of starlight
To write every snowflake dream with innocent white

I closed the door to hide everything so dear
Every tale of frozen lake
Every dream of a withering day
Bearing a dream awaiting on a windowsill
I pray for a wish of a falling star
To find a hideaway where you are

Cherish a moment
Caress every tale
Of an owl and dove
And singing nightingale
Still locked in a cage
Of tomorrow and yesterday

Follow a dream to write a song for a sleeping child
Turn loose your heart to enter the light
In the end I will always be waiting in the fullmoon’s night

I close my eyes to see your face in a dream
Falling asleep to hear your voice dwelling in my mind
Whispering my name through the darkest night
I close my eyes to see you real so close to me
