The Prayer

In the still of midnight

I hear only teardrops call
Leaves dwell in whisper
“Bless him, dear Lord”
Far across harsh dark waters
Over the ocean and seas
Save his life for all lost innocence
Over the rivers and hills
Let him come back home alive
Sleepless night howling again
Reviving pale patches of memory
Grey shroud of ghost fear fades away
Relieving my heart slowly
Last angel chord in Heaven for his life
Name written on a paper one thousand times
Burning wish to see him alive
Far across the deserts and seas
Lost moments of pride unveil the tears
Far across the rivers and hills
Bring him home back to me, please
Drying my fears away just to see him
I pray for you, my angel
Come back alright
I need you standing still by my side
Come back alive in three nights
Forever my love
In the still of midnight

I hear only teardrops call
Leaves dwell in whisper
“Bless him, dear Lord”
