Lifetime Encore

I write last verses on the shore
To leave everything behind
For unseen dream of song’s core
Luring whisper of the night
Poisons my mind forevermore

Homeward memories of home
Paths entwined with your chord

Little song of memory
Calling me, smiling back at me
Through the years of past youth
Silently leading me back home
To read long lost dream of you
Lonely heart of midwinter awe

Story unfinished longs for the end
Unread tales dwells in my mind with the final chord
Mermaids and sirens calling me back
Lifetime’s played after last show’s encore

Homeward memories of home
Neverending winter dwelling in awe

Little song of memory
Calling me, smiling back at me
Through the years of past youth
Silently leading me back home
To read long lost dream of you
Lonely heart of midwinter awe

You are the moon bathing on starlit waves
You are the sea sparkling in last moments of day
Silver ocean where my horizon dies
Dream awakening me at pale sunrise

Stay by my side until the dawn goes dark forever
Caress a heart of awe I’m afraid to lose in the night
My lost path flows through the fields of unfaded winter
