Through The Midnight Sky

Wandering the world lost in field
Dreamless core of a wistful sea
Luring me, singing me to sleep
Dreaming me into a memory I wished to be

Sundown before the dawn
Shadow ships in the moonlit bound
Drawing in the horizon
They slowly drown

A kite holding on the magic inside
Little memories dreaming deep in heart
Send the last farewell through the midnight sky

Caress a dream I wrote on the leaves
Of old oak sheltering you from the world
Veils of dark midnight bound slowly fade
To turn loose the soul of withering day
Flowing still across the river of time

Wishes ashore, travelers of the lost world
Meadows of life for a beauty untied
Pure heart for a dream entwined with a song
Unleashed tales to read you back to the lie
Another story of magic and awe

A kite holding on the magic inside
Little memories dreaming deep in heart
Send the last farewell through the midnight sky

Northern lights caress my sleep
Drawing the path for me to follow
Rainbow bridge leading me
Again to a dream in dear embrace
Dreamworld, my only home of lost awe

Mermaids, sirens in a poet’s mind
Cherish the tale cascading in my heart
Writing with care every rhyme
For a moment of the first sight of love

A kite holding on the magic inside
Little memories dreaming deep in heart
Send the last farewell through the midnight sky
