Moonlit Dew

A cradle lost in starfall, frozen oceans of time
Sailed once to the shore of virgin snow and dream so white
Where sundown rests beyond the waves of restless sky

Beneath the graveyard in last ride of the day
In fallen pale, in frozen grey
Flows the song of a nightingale
Taking me so far away
Reading me real when your dream quivers near
Caressing the tales resting in a heart so dear
Close your eyes and draw me real

In this story of madness and awe
I fly on a kite to the lands of endless lakes and snow
Longing still for a verse lost in mind
Written by a poet’s hand, but cherished by my heart

Tears dwell in loving eyes
Looking through the horizon bars
Sharing a poor hope with withering skies

For me
For you
All the tales are played real
In a final moonlit chord
With me
With you
Dreams painted the lost shore
Cascading in beauty of moonlit dew

For me, for you
Petals of time turn loose the memory
In me, in you
Every dream of life will do

Looking through the horizon bars
Sharing a poor hope with withering skies
Silent night plays this song just for us
