Moonlit Wishes

Come cover me with your painting
Lost memory’s scene through a poet’s heart
Cascading with moonlit veil, midnight portrait still undone

Share this dream with me, a fleeting fantasy
Withering petals of time sing your first lullaby
I still wonder
How could I dare to love you, my dream of lost youth?

Moonlit shore in a starlit sea
Childish tales caress dark piano memory
Frozen story as old as time
Only the lonely hearts feel true beauty

Southern tune, moonlit dew
High hopes, kiss of dream blue
Night sends a wish though the sky
Memories dwell in time
Verses pierced through lost youth
Let down your guards
Comfort a dream with a kiss of cold moon
Caress your heart with a lullaby

Moonlit shore in a starlit sea
Childish tales caress dark piano memory
Frozen story as old as time
Only the lonely hearts feel true beauty

Comfort your heart with a lullaby
Newborn princess sails the waters of lost times
Searching for a wish sent once through the sky
