One winter night by the open window
I was waiting still when they came home
A kite, a boy and an owl
Dark road sleeps deep in snow
This winter night I walk into a dream
Walking again through the awe
Awaiting on the seashore white and still
Wind sings a lullaby, nightingale paints the night
Home rests under a silent kite
This winter won’t comfort a child’s heart
Children walks through the woods to find the awe
Dreamtales awaken lost memories
Bringing me back home where now awaiting still
A kite, a boy and an owl
I cannot sleep without a goodnight tale
Of a kite flying high
Dreams of a barefoot boy, songs of a nightingale
Resting deep in a sleep
Amber stars in owl’s eyes
I fall asleep and take a ride
Right through the night
Across the sea and moonlit shores
To find the boy, the owl and the kite
All the tales I wished to read
Long years beyond a dream still lost in me
