Winter-Heart

Closed door, empty heavens

Vanity of oaths given to the dawn
Cascades now on me
With the call of awe
Hell is there for my fallen angels
Oceans across the painted door
Empire ashore
None will touch the dreams lost deep in the core
A kite in the sky, memories unbound
Wishes stay hidden, tales written on the snow
Years for a child
Dreams paint a withering night
For a childhood dream I bear within
Lost in me a winter-heart
Tales whispered by last star of fall
Moonlit ships through the night
Verses without a rhyme
Sailing across the fields and seas to come back home
A kite in the sky, memories unbound
Wishes stay hidden, tales written on the snow
Years for a child
Dreams paint a withering night
For a childhood dream I bear within
Lost in me a winter-heart
Oceans across the painted door
Empire ashore
None will touch the dreams coiling around my core
Silent devotion
For dark waves of the ocean
Midnight desire for a soul
Magic ride through the fantasy back home
A kite in the sky, memories unbound
Wishes stay hidden, tales written on the snow
Years for a child
Dreams paint a withering night
For a childhood dream I bear within
Lost in me a winter-heart
In the end you will be here for me
I see I’m not alone
On this desert shore
Drowning deep in your sea
I drew on the sand my last oath
My nameless love lingers there forevermore
Dreams paint a withering night
For a childhood dream I bear within
Lost in me a winter-heart
