Resting Deep

In shadows I draw with white

Covering nights with a veil of sunshine
Darkness forever hidden in light
Dreaming of skies looking down
We paint our life in tides of unbreakable dawn
Before the piano plays the last chord of sundown
Into the light
You drew my heart
To dream me high
Through turquoise moonlight
I caressed your soul
Kissed deep sweet dreams
To share midwinter snow
Innocent white song
Redeeming me into past years
Dreaming of eyes, light of my dark life
I paint the ground with white
Before the dawn touches seabed dreams unbound
Resting deep
Caressed by awe within
Ever quivering sea
Dreaming still in your eyes so dear
