Lone Heart Of A Childish Dream

The world keeps on turning
Drowning deeper down, deeper
Heart burning still without a prayer
In silent dark longing
I wish I could care more of a soul

Among the thorns I’ve lost my path
Never ready to go alone
I found my peace in loner’s heart

Those meadows of life wrote down my part
Hand played well the last chord
So cold piano wept my name in the dark

I wish I could find a word for you
All the dreams, all the tears I ever wrote
Were for you, in you, forever for you
An ever sight, one last sigh
A memory dear of all dreamless nights
I dared to devote to you

Ever heart of an innocent child, pure white
Forever lost in me, but forever longing for you
Keeps on dreaming of the kite, meadows and midnight ride

Ever tales of a painter, lone storyteller still living in you
A memory dear I ever loved, a song of a nightingale I ever heard
Belongs to the heart of a poet, dreamer wandering across lost oceans of youth
Lost beauty’s scene, a tale never written, lonely melody ever played within
I devoted to you, my lone heart of a childish dream
