All Those Days

Hello, it’s still me
A wicked dream of yours
How is the life you drew for me?

Once green Eden, meadows of Heaven
Windows of life, oceans of love
Magic winters, dreams of awe
All is but a farewell sent now from hell

Beauty is stolen, heart lies forgotten
Rotten and broken, cold and alone
Seeing no path to go back home

Is there more love to feel?
Is there more pain to bleed?
Is there a long-lost home I need?

Where is all the poetry gone?
What lies in the end if not the dark
You wrote deep within
But a ghost heart of me

Tales are all written, stories are told
All the songs are composed and played so long ago

Days pass turning into years
Flowing in silence with the river of time far away

My cradle is sailing the waters calm and deep
Awakening me from the midwinter sleep
A lullaby flows through the heart that still longs
For a dream you wrote me to be

Light up this night
While the heart beats still alive
Come, draw this path for me
The one that I feel
Across the darkening white
Far away back to the stars
