Starlit Bound

She was so proud
He was but an open heart
Living so far to become one once

Sweet stories through the bars
Ever lasting melody of midnight
A night of tales, a night for a heart
Light of the stars flows still in her eyes
Awakening a memory of once forgotten love

Tales of bloodred moon in a feast of starlight
Rune stone legend to melt her heart
Starlit walks in the woods, whispers of time
Still dwelling inside
Taking more his heart

She was so proud
He was but prouder
Both in the same bound

Two enemy kinds
Two loving hearts
Saving their souls, giving their lives

“Would she ever love someone like me?”
He said in a fever dream
She was forever near, but in his mind she walked in the stars
Warming his dreamy-child’s heart
Reviving him to keep a promise given once
(A promise lives still as pure as starlight)
