A Rune-stone Memory

“Sent by fate through the dales and woods
They were to turn once back home”

Never forget a promise of heart
A purest love of mother and child
The oath given once
Will never come back
So never forget

Beneath the morn in the enemy’s camp
Far beyond the mountain’s shade
In dungeons deep
Hidden from eternity’s weep

Hear the harp beneath
The flute of dreams
Sweet song so innocent still flowing within
Too deep to see
Where lies a rune-stone memory

Above the woods, above the streams
It sparkles high where heart caresses a dream
Still sundown walks
In starlight glowing beneath
The horizon unseen
She plays the moonlit song for him
Deep in his heart’s dream

Sweet song so innocent still flowing within
Too deep to see
Where lies a rune-stone memory

But a dream of eyes
The dream so dear, yet so far
Still walking beneath pure starlight
