Bloodfear

The song foretold my path through life
Covered me with petals of moonlit dream
Veiling the sight of pale midnight

The song wrote my heart
Beyond the world’s lullaby
Painting still the ground with blood

Innocence falls dwelling in downcast eyes
When suddenly I realize I’m the one who ever cries

Take me back to the woods where I’ve caressed the past
Dream me there where I wrote the ways, ever paths of time

Unleash my core to save your soul
Drink my wine to keep your life
Fight for love and find your home

I’m afraid hiding from darkness underneath
Fear became my only guest still

Your life is not mine
As I’m no longer yours
Until that fateful night
Dwells in memory ever lost

Your heart beats, but not for me
No hope it left within
To follow your path again
I write my farewell, my friend

You read the verse
No light there was
No hope left to belong to
My words now long for you
