I See You

“I breathed in thin midnight air

Coiling around with a white-winged dream
Moonlit shadow fell on my hair
Cascading still upon me…”
“…I call and hear the silence still
Dwelling song of a dream
Waves of time are calling for me…”
“I know you are here.”
Whispered she through the window unclosed
“In the leaves of a nut-tree,
In the song of the wind,
In a heart of me…”
“And where else I should be?
You wrote me within
Carved deep my name
Suffering, almost dying from pain…”
“I feel you near
Walking in my mind
Drawing this story
Through the life hidden beneath
The leaves, the song of northern wind…”
I open my eyes and see you before my window
Yesterday rain drew the words or oath
Upon moonlight, beneath the dream
You stand in morning light of stars still locked in dew
Dwell in a song unsung in spring streams of the first blue
Eternal grace of pure white dreams cascading still
Upon your shoulders with silver fog
Of forest sleeping below
With first snowdrops it will bloom
The silent mirror of sweet spring dawn
