It Will Fall

The same path takes me home
The same old song plays in my mind
Painting deep the promise for a soul

Eyes are closed, but I still see
The meadow lying below
Sunlight cascading on it all
Playing the nocturne on still unborn leaves

With first rays of dawn
All the guards will fall
Slowly midnight is gone

I know it will fall…

You touch the skies
Walking in stars somewhere else
Dreaming of that life
That starts with a perfect sunrise

Eyes are closed, but I still see
The river sparkling in silver flow
Dawn dwelling in it all
Painting another dream upon you and me

With first rays of morn
All the darkness falls
Slowly midnight withers in dawn

I know it will fall…

I see you watching me
Deep in a devouring dream
Cascading with desire on my pale real
Upon the wounded heart

Deep in the woods I hear your voice coiling around me
Embracing me melting the ever chill still remaining within
Silver pearl of the stars, the smile of sunshine
Whisper of the wind plays me a lullaby

And suddenly walls of ice slowly fall down
Vanishing behind the door
You closed before my past ever gone
As this ever moment is ours let it make the world fall
