Beneath The Core

Once in love
I wished and took that one
As he was with all rights and wrongs

Now as it’s all gone
With white blink of dawn
I want to be taken as I am and nothing more

No endeavours to change me
As this is who I am
No chance to rewrite the story of me
No line to forgive
No misery to fix
As it’s all about me
All about my being

Face all my demons as they linger within
Sleeping awake deep inside me

Wishing for one whom heart supposed to love
I believe still daring to dream beyond the hope
Where my soul but still reclaims that kingdom
I once used to call home

Unveil the scars of my past
What do you see?

Ashes of flash, bones burnt to dust
Melting heart in my torn core
Rain of ever gone memory
Still cascading on dying hope
Fears of time will show you the whole me

No memories I need back
No flash of light beyond the world’s end
But the one to ease the pain within that ice-cold empty dark
I once felt like a heart

One touch to heal the scars never gone
One kiss to ease the pain never forlorn
A sight of eyes still searching for hope
Lost once beyond those meadows of love
You will find beneath my broken core
