No More Verse For A Foe

In dawn stars sleep awake
Beyond the dreamer’s pale shade
Falling with all autumn grace upon the winter’s withering hand

No more verse for a foe
Once a friend, but a fake for so long
Within left no love to recall
So I’ve buried a feel never born

If I could fly beyond
The sky sleeping still in starlit bound
I would paint the one
My own sun and stars for the only soul

Newborn star above my horizon
Guiding me through the dark
You lead astray my lost blind soul
Among those lustful shores and tides
Of my still bleeding heart

Forgive me my past
I won’t let it in anymore
You’ve healed my heart
So this I’ll never forget

In sundown stars walk awake
Beyond the dreamer’s pale shade
Cascading with grace on your promises I take
