I Depend On Me

Proud look, glittering grace
So they can’t see the tears

Bare fate beneath the dream shores is dead
All lost in deceiving oaths they shared

Confident and cold
A far unbound world
I’ve got used to long for
Long before they were born

Needing none to save me
Because I depend on me

Damaged soul
Hiding beyond the mirror mask
Untamed and old
None ever knew the heart of me
Lost and blind they all fall in their bow
Standing still on their bleeding kneels

Eyes are cold
No fear, no mercy
But a deep reflection
Of life lost in its withering

Needing none to save me
Because I depend on me

No trust to share
With a heart stonemade
No promises to give
As none would bear

So nothing to lose as there is nothing to give
I will bear no response for anyone’s feel
As I cherish one only love of me

So none else I ever need
Because I depend on me
