Long Forgotten Home

Far away in misty morning dew
It sparkles in sky’s clear blue

Woods in silence whisper the words
Of ancient legends in years forlorn

One withering night spells the prophecy old
Beyond the journey without an end
I see the shadows of past lingering still in pale town of ghosts
Forsaken place, our stolen homeland

Over the deep sea
Where pale moon’s reflecting still
Far across the meadows of dawn
Where lies relieving hope

Over the blue mountains high
Where sundown draws pure starlight
Deep in silver blue sky quivering beyond
Heavenly memory of long forgotten home

We wish the light to shine
Above our lives
We long to return what was stolen
Mighty kingdom was broken
When dear lands were deserted and burnt
That moment won’t be forgotten

Beyond the forest
It sleeps drawing new dawn for us

Tomorrow unclear slowly rises upon the horizon
Where thrush is knocking at the secret hidden door

Over the deep sea
Where pale moon’s reflecting still
Far across the meadows of dawn
Where lies relieving hope

Over the blue mountains high
Where sundown draws pure starlight
Deep in silver blue sky quivering beyond
Heavenly memory of long forgotten home
