Forest Prayer

Life draws apart all we love
Against heart’s will
Beyond the road
Where paths run alone along

Tales read together old days
With soul’s will
For a dream dwelling in silence

I read the prayer
In one only name
With fire in whispers
I read the prayer
In one only face

Begging heavens to be kind
To keep you safe
Both this moment and tomorrow unveiled
I still whisper to pale midnight

Beyond the forest I pray
For a heart of all trees and lakes
Meadows and streams
For a dreambound name
A core of the woodland realm
The heart of Wood of Greenleaves

Flying higher than starlit skies
Dwelling in silver-blue eyes
Of spring morning fog
I walk beyond the horizon of dreamworld

Falling into the dark
Coiling around my heart
I pray for a name untold
Dwelling on my lips with hope
The one who healed my soul

Under the moon we dream
Walking in pure starlight
Hand in hand we believe
Making the heart beat for life

One life in eternity
One scene of relief
To be innocent and free
I dance beyond the real
Singing with the wind
Whispering with autumn leaves still
A forest prayer for a heart of the king
