Moonlit Woods

Deep beyond the halls of woods
On silver grass covered with cold dew
Waves of moonlight play on the leaves

I lie on the grass
Watching the stars
Their glow so divine
Cascades on me with purity never seen

Laces around my wrists restrain every move
Eyes of sapphire blue turn loose the truth
From my heart beating deep in his soul

Beg the night to be merciful
While the hands are so real
Groan through the dark
As none can hear
Live a dream until it comes true

Lips whisper the name
In sweet agony of bittersweet pain
Unleashing all tears of bliss
One single sip of life turns to eternity with a kiss

Starlit sky glitters in calm waters of a forest lake
Reflecting in eyes of midnight guest with ancient name

He breathes the life back in me
Revealing his heart and soul
Through the scene of neverfading memory
I feel his soul uniting with mine deep in my core

Captivated in his arms I dwell in the wind
Living a song of silver leaves
I sense his heart beating with mine far beyond the heavenl’s chord
