Behind The Door

There is no light in this dark room
You see, I know
There is no white behind the blue
So where am I supposed to go?

Nothing I would live for
One day to die for
Nothing I could give to you
Or save for you
But truth

I see no way out
And I turn around
I feel no hope in this
So I leave it

I found only the pain under that rain
And there is no other way
I won’t choose this door again

Behind the smile I see the tears
Deep in your eyes I feel loneliness
Is it so, my dear?

You are there, with me under that roof
Always there for me needing no proof
I have nothing to give you
No gold, nor hope
But truth and love
All that I can share with you

Behind the door I see the dream
Of you and me
I know it’s just a fantasy unreal
But I love this silent scene

The past is gone vanishing within my core
So I’ve closed that door

I will go so far
As I’m freed from that bound
I will wander to the shores covered with white snow
And meadows sweeter than midnight love
Where mountains are high
And leaves sing a lullaby

Where life sparkles with stars
In those eyes of dreaming lover lying still
On my shoulder and keeping deep
The promises to share with me every sunrise

Nothing I could give you
But my life
Nothing I would take from you
But a smile
No desire is sweeter than your sight
No wish is deeper than the one of your heart
I can give you nothing, but love

Hold me tight beyond the starlit dew
I want to feel your love more than anyone else
Love me before I fall in love with you
