One Single Impression

You are the light falling through the leaves
Petals of sunrise, one single impression…

I cannot fly higher
Without wings behind me

I cannot breathe deeper
Without air around me

All I needed once they couldn’t give…

The sun above the horizon
The moon and stars
I see nothing, but blurry sparks
Deep in eyes looking from shadows

Gazing at me from the dark
Chasing all my doubts from the heart
All I hear now is your voice echoing within

You are the light falling through the leaves
Petals of sunrise, one single impression…

I cannot escape from this maze
Walking still on the edge

I cannot run away from this cage
Flowing through the brightest age

In-between fire and ice
I’m locked forever in those pools
Of ever blue, ever grey
Eyes
Looking back
Looking back at me
Eyes of you

Like a rainy night
A misty dawn
Forever untouched, uncaught
The moment of light
Flowing away from me

You are the light falling through the leaves
Petals of sunrise, one single impression
One only face for all the deepest dreams
My heart’s sacral compassion
