Chilly Morning Veil

In chilly morning veil
I see the vicious darkness
And rains pouring from the sky so pale
No soothing cure they left for me
Under this night stars

Prayer will not be enough this time
To heal the wounds left by that sharpest knife

In silence of midnight sigh
I feel the dreamlessness kissing my soul
Poisoning my heart with mistrust

When sudden understanding comes upon me
That you are far away from here

Realising that life turns pale
Without dear hand
Holding mine in my time of need

I’m lost when I am without you
In this world
In this life
And there is no another soul
To heal mine from this sadness
No another one
To take me away from myself

Life takes me away
To the real where I am now
Looking through this pale day

In this winter far over the white hills
I fall asleep in your arms
Tell me if it’s only a dream
Or wake me up if it’s all real
And we are flying above the stars

My confession will be your remedy
If these lines are but a midnight fantasy
A river of time turning into a fading memory

In chilly morning veil
I’m awakened by the real
It’s only the wind whispers to me again
Through the open window wide
As I see dear smile
Sweetest cure for an aching heart
To realize that’s no more a dream
And this time you are here with me
