An eagle in midnight sky
Sundown faded in the twilight
Withering dream upon the night
Stars whisper to me
Wishing to feel once for real
Not falling asleep I watch the stars
The moonlight shivering on leaves
Whispering the truth to us
Far above the horizon flying so high
Protecting my dreams
An eagle in midnight sky
A guarding angel saving me
Flying high
He watches my soul
From the blue sky
He draws another dawn
Before the midnight falls
With moonlight’s cold
He dries the tears in eyes of blue
He chases the cries forever deep
Writing a tale of eternal truth
He tells the story of a heart of me
Far above the horizon flying so high
Protecting my dreams
An eagle in midnight sky
A guarding angel saving me
From a song I hear the sadness of his soul
Looking in his eyes I see him lonesome
But a heart is a secret still
Not without a forgotten dream
But still hiding all the dear dream
He keeps a rhyme for a heart
The one so dear to him
