Long Lost Tale

An elf-maiden came to the dark magician
She asked him for help
Blaming in her sweet desire and lonesome passion

She told she dreamt
She told she felt
She swore she loved
But the her words weren’t enough

He didn’t take her oaths
Neither believed her story
Still no lies she told

Her dreams she shared with him
All the memories so dear and deep
But he laughed at her words then told
And the daughter of the forest was gone

He looked for her in midnight silence
And daylight dream
He searched in lands so far
And depths of the sea
But seems to nowhere
She’s disappeared

One day he went to war
He saw her fallen beyond the sword
None, but her
He saw under his bleeding sword

The tale of time and lies
Of memories that rise
Along the tides unbound
Reviving with a lost song’s sound

I hear her voice calls now for me
Beyond that nightmarish memory
I see her face under my blade
Nothing to share, none to blame
But her lips whispered then my name
Ending at once this endless tale
