Fire

Red tongues lick the wounds
Burning the scars
Making heart weak and hollow
Blazing high with fire we used to follow

Fire beyond the tide
Long-forgotten cold inside
Comes alive
With all the memories I’ve tried to deny

Fire burning the heart
Leading us higher than stars
Fire we used to lose away
Fearing to burn in its flames

Fire
Undone memory
Fire
Untouched remedy
Fire
Healing and killing
Untying and flowing
Through sundown to long-forgotten home

Thunder roars above
Northern winds whisper my name
Tell me once about your love
And make me feel your heart’s flame

Forever in time of all worlds
In this trembling fire of thrill I’m all yours

Fire I see
Above the hills and streams
Fire beneath
The meadows and dales
Fire within
Will make us feel and believe
Caressing a dream

Forever in heart for all the purity I will
Recall a feel in your eyes as the only one real
