The Road

Horizon is painted with red, still pale
Dawn falls upon the valley
Covering the midnight
Faded beyond the starlight
As if the darkness had colours of the world
Dwelling deep below

The bitter taste of sunrise
Plays on lips with lost cold of smile
Untouched by dreams

Love turns to loath in the end
After another betrayal I should see this bitterness
Upon the waves of silence
It widened and spread

As we flow with waters yet unseen
Before the sun rises above we’ll turn to shades
The memory will glow wider beneath
As the hidden face smiles to all the lost grace
Of time and tides upon a forlorn sunrise
And thoughts turn to wishes deep in eyes

And there is a road
Leading you ahead
So far from home
Recalled by a long-forgotten tale

We swim the oceans of dreams and moonlit mirrors
As the night slowly fades in ever watching shadows

Wishes turn to real flowing through our veins
As we dance in warm midsummer rain
And the song longs for the heart
Where the promises lie still
Before we turn to ashes of pale life
I will find the path through a memory
Reaching your soul to fade together in river’s stream
Sharing the same lost dream
