A Forest Dream

Dawn whispers in shades
Upon the quivering leaves of green woods
Far beyond the mead and dales

Above the memory of sundown
Fading realm arises still
In the shadow of a mountain high

A silent lullaby
Sings me away
To the lands so far
Above the hills and dales

Under the flow of fast river
Deep in lake’s waters blue
The night shares this moment
As if it’s never ceased forever
Lingering still in eyes of stars so pure

A silent lullaby
Sings me away
To the lands so far
Above the hills and dales

A silent lullaby
Dwells within midnight’s still
Behind the mountain’s side
I see the lands of dreams
Sheltering still the moment of life
Upon the midwinter sadness untold

A silent lullaby
Sings me away
To the lost light of day
Where dreams flow still so far

Beyond the horizon
Trees whisper in shades unseen
As the heart belongs to the mountains and streams
Far over the hills
Deeper into a forest dream
All the tales of the world

A silent lullaby
Sings me away
As the path leads me astray
To the lands so far
Over the hills and dales
