Until It’s Awakened

Show me the way where to go
Learn me to fly higher than the sky ends

Lead me through freezing cold
Beyond the horizon to the far lands

Before the rainbows call
The winter snow will fall
Soothing the pain away
Fading in time with last October rain
I drown in the sea of dreams

Your name came up to me in a dream
One long-forgotten winter night
Or early spring
Sleeping still until it’s awakened by the heart

In agony, my very time of need
Across the memory
You lead me still

Hold me while I weep
To feel the warmth
Forever real
Show me the heart is deep
In comfort
Lie near
Hold me still

You came one day in morning light
I thought I was daydreaming
That late morn’s sight
Still makes me believe all miracles are real

Revived
I meet sundown with unveiled eyes
Loved
I feel the heart longing for another sunrise
With you now

One long-forgotten winter night
Or early spring
Midsummer kiss upon an awakened heart
