Have To Let It Go

Reflection of the one
Dwelling above all others
The darkest shadow all upon
Glowing among the memories
The saddest and long gone

All the pain will disappear once
If only I could ever know when
Counting the days withered in tears under the stars

Waves of ignorance could take me there then
Innocence would dwell
Soul wasn’t torn
And heart could bear a hope
Before the very last word

The world that I drew was a lie
A miracle but only mine
No soothing salvation still hasn’t come

Words never told
Rhymes I never wrote
Always a coward I’ve never been bold
I had no right for that love

Revenge won’t help
And rage will live until the agony tears me apart
Now and then
Memory devours the heart
Among the pain I will flow
Until one day I let it go

I walk among the thorns of the past
Guided by faith and starry glow
Ashes pale and grey all will fade at once
I have to let it go

Walking in starlight in the other world
Far away from that reality of pain all torn
I will be loved when I let it go

Memories will fade like a nightmare untold
Flower of love will bloom upon the heart reborn

With the last summer dawn it all will flow
Leaving behind the heart of ever winter cold
As I let it go
