The Awe Of Blue

A little girl draws with a piece of coal
Her fingers turned black
As the sky of midnight in the end of autumn

She sees the stars shining high
Walking in their light
She touches the crystal shine
As it’s dwelling above calling her name

Behind the door
She turns into a queen so cold
Pretender of winter grace
Locking the girl so deep inside
Her heart is twisted now

Little dreamer sleeps in a golden cage
Among mist and shade
While I’m painting the dark upon the starlit veil

Come in, close the door
As I am here all alone
She walks again
Dreaming, painting
Little girl with a piece of coal

Her eyes colour of autumn
October wind sings in her hair
Smile shines in starlight
She hopes
She believes
She loves
As the road goes on
And till the very end

She dreams
I feel
She sings
I hear
She weeps
I cry her tears
Hiding my own so deep

A little girl draws with a piece of coal
Her fingers turned black
As the sky of midnight in the end of autumn

And she dreams of starlight so pure
Singing the old lullaby through the awe of blue
