Farewell, Home, Farewell

We write new worlds
Painting them with white and black
But longing for bright colours
Till the very end

Breaking the bars
We fly to the stars

Freedom unbound remains locked still
Behind the mirrors of eyes of unreleased dreams

Before the sky falls
Tell me why it’s so cold
Send my heart across the far shores

Farewell, dear love, farewell
I am but the star too far
A dream too high
Call my name through the wind
In your time of need
And I will come
Before the last petal withers

Stars and path call to the new horizon
As we follow it all into the storm
Leaving all we used to live for

Farewell, dear home, farewell
I long for the journey now
Far over the hills and over the sea
Through the mist of dawn
And into starlight shining above the mountains
To see blue tides beneath the dark cliffs
Somewhere else where dreams turns into real
