Back Home

Fate brought me here once
So far from forlorn home
From woods dark and mountains high
Alone and lost
I’m wandering the wilderness
So far away exiled
From my only home

So far the path took me once

Too far from those lands I loved
Alone and lost
I’m searching for shelter
So far from home
Forgotten in midnight awe
So far from meads and dales
The path took me away
Far away into ever lost days
Wandering in ever lost lands I’ve never seen before
Longing for only but a dream to come once back home
Forever lost in the flow of restless time
Far beneath cold memories’ tide
I see in the end of day
Far dreams of meads and dales
All the flowers blooming in the valley
Above and below all glaring with white
Far beyond the edge of time
I see the path leading me home
All so dear — the lake, the meads all in blossom
The sky of blue, the mountains so high
Far away from dream
It all now flows real
So far from the void and cold
Away from the ruins of war
I walk now back home
