Northern Wind

Northern wind, take me back
Where fields dwell in green
And blue is the sea
Where the night is calm and black
And merry songs silently flow
Oh, wind, take me back home

Path brings me so far
To the world all ahead
Away from the hearth

Misty road across the water
Is now my guide
Starlit sky sends a hope for a shelter
With a fallen star

Northern wind, take me back
To the lands I never forget
Where rests my soul
In dear embrace of mountains cold
With caverns deep are hidden behind the door
Oh, path, my guide, bring me now home

I’ve been travelling for too long
My soul still believes in wanders
And heart beats with withering hope

I see a shadow ahead
Hear the call of old times
There it lies
There is the journey’s end

Sweet dreams entwine now with real
Cascading on me with tears of thrill
Erasing a feel I’m not alone in this world
Oh, northern wind, take me home…
