The King Will Return

The king sits upon his throne
In vast hollow halls
Upon his head lies golden crown
The king of caverns stone

Among lost kingdoms his stands still
Like a dream entwined, one last realm
The one to protect the ancient folk
One last wall that should never fall

I walk along its shadow halls
And caverns cold
Forlorn are now those songs
Of once great kingdom

Now realm is lost between the ages dim
Though memory shall never fade
Through days it will flow, through centuries
Heart of descendants will caress it still
Through days of light and shade

Wandering desolations far
Across the last stoned star
I reach the mountain’s heart
Where mighty king lives

Legends wander the lands unseen
Beyond mountains high and waves so deep
Where memories pale still burn
The king will once return

I lie on the shore craving the dream
Once again to see my king
As heart believes still in prophecies foreseen

Alone beyond misty mountains high and caverns deep
I will wait until my king wakes from his long sleep
And take back his ever home
As the king shall rule his kingdom

Alone on white forgotten shore I still bear a wait
For the king will return again
